Troop 501’s Merit Badge Midway! 

Regardless of your troop affiliation or rank, all Boy Scouts are invited to participate.  You are offered the choice of one all day merit badge session, or two half day sessions.  Decide how you want to participate by looking at the schedule of merit badge workshop on this page.  When you select your merit badges, consider the degree of difficulty and the length of time required to complete the badge. 

You will have the opportunity to earn up to two merit badges.  See the merit badge selections and requirements on this page.

Registration:

The registration form can be found here.  You will need the Adobe Acrobat Reader application installed in your system in order to view and print it.  It is a free application.

 Please print the registration form out, fill it and return it posted by regular mail to:

T501 Merit Badge Midway Registrar
216 University Avenue
Los Gatos, CA 95030-6013.

Your cost will be $25.00.  The registration deadline will be on October 15th, 2008 (postmarked).  Sorry, no phone or walk-in registrations.

Please make checks payable to: "Los Gatos Troop 501" and write on the memo "Merit Badge Midway Registration" and your Troop Number.

A merit badge Class confirmation will be sent to you via e-mail.  Please make sure to include the e-mail in the registration form.

Fees include registration, lunch, Midway patch, raffle prizes.

(Snacks will be sold throughout the Midway day).

Midway Schedule:

8:00 AM Sign-ins Begin
8:30 AM Assemble in Gymnasium for opening ceremony of Midway Program
9:00 AM Merit badge sessions begin
Noon Lunch (included with registration)
12:45 PM Re-assemble in Gymnasium for Announcements and Raffle
1:00 PM Merit badge Sessions begin
4:00 PM Re-assemble in Gymnasium for raffle, and closing ceremony
4:20 PM Dismiss, check out, pick-up your Midway patch

What you need to do before the Midway:

bulletSelect the merit badge offerings here.
bulletPrint out registration form.  Mail completed form with your fees.
bulletOnce you have chosen your badges and registrar has confirmed your classes:
bulletCall your Merit Badge Counselor before the Midway (No Exceptions).
bulletGet the Merit Badge Pamphlets for your chosen badges.
bulletRead the merit badge pamphlet and complete your counselor and pamphlets listed pre-requisites.
bulletBring your Merit badge pamphlet and written pre-requisites.
bulletDress in full Class A Scout uniform.  It is mandatory.
bulletCheck-in (8:00 AM) at the Midway Registration an receive your Midway packet.
bulletBring signed blue cards for each one of the merit badge workshop, a notebook and pencil.
bulletCheck out before leaving the Midway and collect your Midway patch.
